Kitten News? Some of you had the chance to see EchoStar play at Modified (26/05/01) as a two piece. Since then EchoStar have been enjoying time off in restructuring the line-up a bit. We are considering going more electric on some of the material as well as finding a keyboard player. Although we have plenty of songs written for our EchoStar debut, we need a keyboard player to add some atmosphere to our songs. So if anyone knows a good keyboard player in the Brisbane area, please forward their details to us. You can contact me by clicking the contact link at the bottom of this page. January 2002 News: 1-1-02 SleaseKitten wishes you a very sleasy 2002!! I hope everyone was able to spend a night with a stranger! (kidding). I know a few kittens that did and they are cool kittens- and that goes for the kittens that warmed their beds that evening too! December News: 1-12-01 Yeah, that's right December is here. Almost a new year which means new projects and meeting new people. I have recorded an EP with a bloke named Josh Healy. The project is to be named The Macro-Invertebrates and we are just about to master the baked tapes (all six of them). The album is interesting it is taking on the concept of running away and I will leave the rest of the plot for the listener to translate. We recorded the album at Hope Island and although the equipment was limited we made do and are pleased with what we are referring to as strong demos. October News: 1-10-01 Not much in October. I was considering doing another solo project and have Johari play bass exclusively on the project. I can't find any other reasons to be in a band. Ohh, and Indie is officially dead. I would go join the CIA, but according to their Website you can only smoke marijuana a total of 15 times. Actually, count me in I am comfortably below that quota. Also, I will be moving shortly so discount the address to order badges from. No one is ordering these days anyways. September News: 1-9-01 September is here, can't believe it's been an entire year. Well that's how it goes. EchoStar has made another step, we may have someone to play keys. Iain our newest trial member holds the position currently. Johari and I are working out the songs with Iain and hope to have the set of songs perfected in a few weeks. We then hope to bring in Greg to play drums, that's the plan atleast. |
